leggings do not eauql pants... however strongly you are tempted to wear them thusly, they are still not pants... yes, they do make your butt look big if you weigh more than 1 pound, which means practically everyone... no, they aren't pants... under a sweater dress, they are fine... but not as pants... that is all...

THEY ARE NOT FINE UNDER A SWEATER DRESS!!! THEY SHOULD BE LEFT IN 1987 WHERE THEY BELONG!!!
well, they do look good with a mini skirt and are wonderful for layering, but yes, sweter dresses are not ok with them...
Only runners should wear leggings, and even then only runners with the body to pull that off.
That is my two senses. Or is it cents? I can never remember.
