avoid any and all yellow snow...

so, the salt or whatever that my university puts down in the parking lots and sidewalks somehow turns snow yellow... that is just gross...

My complex uses pink junk. That must be good for the grass. Really.

But the thing I noticed today, which creeped me out, was that the mulch around a tree at a hotel near work was making the snow on top of it pinkish. It's red, and is probably supposed to be 'redwood' or 'cedar', but this stuff is dyed that color. Again, so reassuring.
